PIPS MINER

Price: LE €129 / SE €199
          EE €249/ Gold €399
Optimism Rank:
Sold by: My4xStore.com

Description:

The Pips Miner catches mostly trending moves during the London session. It was designed for the EUR/USD 5-minute timeframe.

Our testing was updated on February 4th 2010 with the new 2.0 version. Since it seemed to be doing better than 1.4, we eliminated the older 1.4 version testing.

Note (April 21st, 2010): Pips Miner analyses price action and is, therefore, sensitive to market movement. Small differences between brokers or between demo/live accounts can cause small discrepancies in trades. For example, one day you may get 3 trades while someone else gets 5 trades, but on the next day you may get 5 while the other person gets 3. The results, in the long run, will be very similar but the day-to-day number of trades may vary slightly.

Note (July 16th, 2010): Pips Miner Extended Edition, version 2.1 was released. This update contains a new feature to modify or turn off the recovery mode. We have updated our EA files, but have left the default settings intact.

Note (July 30th, 2010): Pips Miner Gold is set to be released on August 4th, 2010. The price will be €399. The Gold version is the Light Edition, Standard Edition, and Extended Edition, all rolled into one EA. From the EA settings, you can easily choose which edition you want traded on your account. (The difference between each edition is how many open trades are allowed, stop loss, and take profit.) We are currently testing Pips Miner Gold, on the EE settings, and you can view the results below.

Scott's Notes (April 9th, 2010):

This is seriously one of my favorite EAs. We've been testing it for months (since September 9th of '09) and there has never been a time when I was sick of it or wanted to stop the testing. It's been through trending and channeling markets. And since 2.0 the results got even better. It's my personal opinion that the Extended Edition "EE" is the best version to use - don't waste your time on the other smaller versions.

On April 9th I did a detailed analysis on the All-Pairs account and found some patterns. All the EUR based pairs were doing well and all the GBP, JPY, and tight channeling pairs were doing poorly. So we set up a 4th demo that only trades 4 EUR-style pairs (EUR/USD, EUR/CAD, EUR/AUD, USD/CHF) and we will see how that does for awhile. Those 4 pairs nailed over 14,000 pips in the last 9 weeks.
