Description:

About the Company:

FX Equity Builder is a "no-nonsense" company that is very upfront and straightforward on their website. They've developed a nice little EA and display both backtests and an MT4stats.com account to share their live results.

About the Strategy:

The FX Equity Builder EA trades a grid-style system that trades the EUR/CHF. It enters a maximum of 8 trades with a 50% martingale on each trade. Their EA is overseen by humans and they handle all updates to the strategy and risk limitations behind the scenes.

About the Risk Settings:

Fixed Lots: Not compatible - needs to be able to increase lot size.

% Risk Per Pip: Not compatible - needs to be able to increase lot size.

% Risk Per Trade: Not compatible - needs to be able to increase lot size.

Follow Provider: Required risk setting. Not recommended to go higher than "100% Follow Provider," which is a moderate risk level. For conservative users, try 50%-75% and see how it goes. Minimum account size should be about $2500 with micro lots enabled.

Their account is set up with a max equity drawdown of 15%. If a 15% drawdown is achieved, the system will close all trades.

Lot Sizing Information:

FX Equity Builder starts each set of trades with .01 lots per $5,000 balance. A $10,000 account would start each set of trades with .02 lots. If you trade with an account smaller than $5,000 your first few trades may all be .01 lots and the martingale will not kick in until the last few trades of the set.

Price: $50 per month.

Account Updates and Memos

May 7th, 2010 - New Demo Created
The Alpari demo account expired. Due to connection with the Alpari demo account, we are switching to a new Forex.com demo account.

January 5th, 2010 - New Demo Created:
FX Equity Builder changed their strategy enough to justify a new demo. The newer strategy has less overall risk. The previous account ended roughly breaking even - a loss in December had erased 2 months of profits. The lower risk factor being used now should help to retain profits better.
